My name is Richard Rosenman and I am a senior creative director, 3D animator & motion designer with over 25+ years in the video and animation production industry.
I’ve directed, managed and supervised teams of creative designers, collaborated with clients, and developed tools and pipelines to enhance production.
I’ve created hundreds of projects, many award-winning, in collaboration with top advertising agencies such as Y&R, DDB, FCB, BBDO, Cossette, Ogilvy & Mather, JWT, Leo Burnett, MacLaren McCann, McCann Erickson, Saatchi, TBWA, Sid Lee, Taxi, and many more.
I’ve developed content for some of the world’s top brands including Ford, Kraft, American Express, Walmart, GMC, ConAgra, Disney, IBM, RBC, Autodesk, OLG, Smucker’s, Toshiba, Samsung, Pepsi, Advil, Toblerone, Expedia, Teletoon, Heart & Stroke Foundation, and more.
I’ve worked across a broad range of mediums, including television, broadcast, interactive media, web, film, and print. I’m also heavily experienced in all aspects of production, which I regularly participate in, including scripting, storyboarding, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, editing, post-production, and sound design. Other titles I’ve held for years throughout my career are animation director, art director, lighting and rendering artist, and compositor.
I also co-directed an animated short film in 2004 that was nominated for a British Academy Award (BAFTA).
I’ve earned a reputation in identifying innovative approaches in blending the strategic, creative and technical components of digital media. I’m always in pursuit of emerging creative trends and I like to stay ahead of the curve through the use of cutting-edge technical applications, including generative AI.
I graduated in 1996 from Sheridan College, with a Diploma in Classical Animation. My career has led me to work in Vancouver, San Francisco and the local Toronto area. I worked for respected studios such as Topix and Red Rover Studios, where I led the 3D department and gained international attention for my broadcast work. I have also taught for numerous years at various schools including the International Academy of Design and more recently, Centennial College.
